Welcome to the first post of the Linda Miller Real Estate, Inland Northwest Focus Weblog. For economies of time and space, we’ll refer to it as the Focus Blog, or more simply Focus. Mike and I have been planning a blog for over a year. Several projects delayed the launch. We finally decided that now is the time. The redesign of the Linda Miller website was the boost we needed.

Our purpose is to shine a bright light on all things real estate. The Focus will be commentary, discussion, information and pure rant. The rant will be mine, but you are encouraged to comment, discuss, disagree and ask questions. You will discover that I am rarely without something to discuss and I’m never lacking for an opinion.

Occasionally, Focus will feature a newly listed property. Featured properties will stand out and either be exceptional values or offer unique quality and distinction. We’ll talk about the communities of Spokane County and what makes them a great place to live. We may discuss building projects and development, but only as they impact a majority of our readers.

There will be a few rules if you decide to comment. Rule #1 is play nice. Discussion is open to everyone, but name calling, derogatory statements and foul language will not be tolerated. These are rules of common courtesy. Any violation will be immediately deleted and the writer may be restricted from commenting. When commenting, please refrain from making sweeping generalized statements; be specific and as brief as possible. If you are making a statement of fact, be certain that it is accurate. I don’t believe anything someone tells me without proof and I will check on the facts. Inaccurate or untruthful statements may be deleted without comment.

If there is a subject that you want to talk about, let me know. If you have a question you want answered, send Linda or myself an email. You can find our address on the contact page. Questions of general interest or that interest me will probably be answered here. The purpose of any weblog is to provide an interesting and sometimes provocative dialog. I have a diverse range of real estate knowledge and interests. As a real estate appraiser, I’m tenacious in finding the truth and getting the right answers. I will be the moderator and do most of the writing. Occasionally Linda will respond to a question or publish an article of her own. As interest grows, we may invite other contributors.

I won’t commit to how frequently new articles will be published. There will be a least one new article weekly. Most will not be as lengthy as this one. So come back frequently and join the discussion.
